After I read today's Odd News Award winner, I learned some wonderful news: Stem cells can be taken from your fat cells. As you probably already know, stem cells can be used to grow muscle, bone and all sorts of other body parts. Finally, all of that extra fat that so many in the western world are carrying around can be used for all sorts of useful things. In today's article, a 65 year old Finnish man, who had lost his upper jaw to a benign tumor, grew a new jaw in his abdomen from stem cells found in his fat. No animal parts or deceased human parts or artificial parts were used and this eliminated potentially nasty things like rejection or infection from undiscovered disease in the animal/human parts.
