You might recall the sick villain in the Disney Movie: 101 Dalmatians, Cruella de Vil. Her dream was to have a coat made of Dalmatian dog fur. Really, really odd even for fiction. You know how truth is sometimes stranger than fiction? An article in the Daily Mail British newspaper proves this saying.
According to the article, linked below, people are wearing dog fur sweaters. The link below includes pictures. In real life it is not some psychopath collecting 101 puppies. No, that would be really sick. In real life former pet owners are commemorating their deceased pet by using its hair to make a sweater. How do you respond when you say: "Nice sweater, George. Is it new?" George tears up and says "Thank you. Remember my dog, Fido? This used to be his coat."
What do you say? Do you run away screaming? Do you burst out laughing? Do you pat George on the back or stroke his sweater and say: "This reminds me of the last time I petted Fido. Boy, do I miss that dog." I don't know what the appropriate response is but, I do think that this is pretty odd stuff.
